 I could not leave this out, although work has stopped on this site, this should be here, so here goes:

With some searching it was discoverd that for the last three years the Flinterduin (the vessel that brought all the Dutch historic flat bottomed ships to New York for the NY400 festivities) has been recording it's information and ship's logs on a voluntairy wheather site.

Signature of the captainIt took some work but here is the ship's log. We are trying to decipher the information and create a map of the voyage of the Flinterborg with it's precious cargo. it should replace the map at the bottom of this site when it is done. We are also looking for people who can read badly scanned and difficult to read handwriting...

Our overseas friend spent many hours working on the ship's log to copy all the data the captain noted down during the voyage to update our map. I must say I could have never done it better or in a shorter time with so much detail and effort and I want to thank Peter again for his help.

the site has become a bit full so I had to make some changes...
